Borovets All-Mountain Bike Weekend

In EVENT REPORTS,EVENTS by Alexander Iliev / 15/06/2016 / 0 Comments

The first filled with adventures weekend took place in Borovets mountain bike park on 28-29th of May. There were a several reasons that this weekend was different than any other.

We opened for testing and riding our first family/all-mountain trail. The trail is 6km. long and passes through various terrain and sections: lush meadows, uphill single-track in shady woods, fast descent with great number of fun elements that can offer  something interesting for any type of riders. This year we unite with Bike Ventures in order to develop the trails in the bike-park together and give you the best trails we can imagine. The newfound trail is just the beginning of our collaboration.

One of the most successful bicycle manufacture company Specialized carried out test rides of their latest bike models for Enduro, Cross-County, Downhill and Road riding. The event was part of the “Specilized test the best” campaign, during which anyone had the chance to try the latest Specialized models on the newfound all-mountain trail in Borovets.

The girls from Wildberries visited us, you can be sure that they had a good time by checking their short story and photos here.

After the good ride and a stroll in the nature we moved to the Terrace Lounge, they offered us some fresh cocktails and tasty food while we enjoyed the amazing view from the terrace. This made the perfect ending of a perfect day, and for some of us the night has just begun as we moved to After Eleven Night Club for the party!

Together with all of our guests we launched into summer season 2016, thanks to everyone who joined us in this adventure, we`re expecting you again anytime soon!

We had a rad weekend!

DOWNHILL DAYS with Jordi Bago @ Borovets Mountain Bike Park

In EVENT REPORTS by admin / 02/07/2014 / 0 Comments

Teaming up with our friends from Bike House and Spanish pro downhill/enduro rider Jordi Bago, Borovets Mountain Bike Park hosted a two-day DH training camp. Almost 20 riders of all ages and skill levels signed up to receive useful advice and race-proven know-how from Jordi, who shared his skills and discussed all aspects of gravity riding and racing with his trainees. Despite misty weather during Saturday morning, the rain gods spared us from another soaking, and by saturday afternoon we were all enjoying near-perfect trail conditions & blue skies over our heads. By sunday the trails have even become dusty on some spots, but this did not hold anybody back and the training continued in full force. Jordi started both days off with a track walk, discussing line choice and how to link up different sections. After that it was time to get on the bikes and session different parts of the tracks (Rocky on saturday, and a mix of Rocky/Need For Speed on sunday). Then it was time to do full runs, with Jordi following riders to observe and correct their line choice, technique and position on the bike. Borovets Mountain Bike Park’s latest trail additions proved to be really fun to ride and progress on, offering a huge variety of natural and man-made obstacles. All in all, it was a great weekend, big thanks to all who attended, the event organisers from Bike House and Jordi Bago himself! Stay tuned for the event’s video in a few days!

Report: Bonus Hunters – Season Opening 2014 @ Borovets Mountain Bike Park

In EVENT REPORTS by admin / 06/06/2014 / 0 Comments

Now that the season opening day in Borovets Mountain Bike Park is behind us, we can safely say that season 2014 is ON! A big THANK YOU for all riders who braved the mud and the rain (the riding was quite awesome), it was good to see you in such large numbers! Your excitement made our season opening day pretty special… As expected, a handful of riders who decided to come early gathered most prizes in our little Bonus Hunters game, but there are still some leftovers – 2 two-day lift pass vouchers and 2 beer power-ups still remain hidden somewhere in the woods… Come and get them!
